eye candy: model mayhem

Ok so I know I am probably WAY behind on the times with this…but holyshit there is so much good stuff at Model Mayhem. Eye/brain/inspiration candy galore.

This girl is so versatile!

All of the above and the one below are the same girl.

Can we just say, eyegasm? But I found so many more photos I loved as well…

the neck-cuff is by Mother of London, a line which has some really cool stuff…nothing I could ever afford but still, awesome to look at.

I really, really like stripes. a lot. and orange hair. and blue hair. hah.

I love the juxtaposition of vintage-inspired style and latex clothing.

I managed to find something with turquoise and pink in predominance. Anyone surprised?

In other news, I felt very warm and fuzzy today because this poor woman called in near-hysteria, looking for a computer for her son (who does a lot of fliers/music editing/etc. and thus had rather specific needs). She had found one on sale and then it sold out before she got one. She was so upset, I felt terrible for her. She had already called to tell her son and was like “I just feel so terrible Michelle, I already told him he’d be getting a computer, and we’re retired so we’re on a budget, but we had set aside some money for this, and oh, I just couldn’t handle it when they told me at the store, it almost made me cry!” Anyways, I managed to find one that was pretty close and only $100 more. She was SO happy and thanked me a billion times, told me that I was a godsend and to have a merry Christmas and all that jazz. It was awesome.

I also won these black mesh opera-length fingerless gloves by GlovedUp on a whim, and now I’m not sure what I’ll wear them with. I’ll have plenty of time to figure that out when they’re on their way over the ocean. and half the US. Ideas anyone?

Fantastic picture choices! I think I love the first one best of all– it’s just so perfect.

Perhaps you could do with the opera gloves what the one picture does with vintage and latex? Pair them in an unusual way that’s less punk and perhaps more refined somehow?

Hmm, good idea. I’m just not sure what in my closet fits the bill! An excuse to go shopping, maybe? :P
