This week is a good lot of links! Are you ready?
- The 21 Awesomest Superhero Mods for My Little Pony. Nuff said.
- Sal of Already Pretty brings us two great posts: I Deserve This and Defending Dressing.
- Found via the comments on Defending Dressing is an oldy-but-goody: Why Does Buyer’s Guilt Focus on Fashion? at WendyB’s blog.
- Oooh, and I was super psyched to find out I won a $25 Kohl’s giftcard from Shoe Smitten. Yay! Thank you, Shoe Smitten! Check ‘em out, nothing like a blog dedicated to shoes to make ya feel all warm and fuzzy.
- Wicked Halo has scans of the Tim Burton themed editorial in Harper’s Bazaar. Awesome stuff.
- Dirty Dancing, feminist masterpiece. “In which the author, upon learning of Patrick Swayze’s death, fondly remembers one of his iconic films and what it meant to her.” I actually…gasp…haven’t ever seen Dirty Dancing. But this makes me want to!
- Sarah Von of Yes and Yes has some great photos of restored trailers: Trailer Flash.
- Ashe Mischief brings us a little insight into Lady Gaga with Live in Gaga-Vision.
- Annie Spandex has teamed up with Handbag Amnesty to do a giveaway for a bad-ass bag. “September is Handbag Month at Handbag.com, and they’ve teamed up again withCancer Research UK this year to raise money for the fight against cancer by asking celebrities to donate handbags from their closets. These bags will be auctioned oneBay during October 4-11 for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, with all proceeds going to Cancer Research UK, the largest single funder of breast cancer research in the UK.
Alexander McQueen, Scarlett Johansson, Annie Lennox, Heidi Klum, and Rachel Weisz are just a few of the various celebrities who have already donated bags. But this is not just about celebrities, everyone is encouraged to donate a bag in good condition to one of Cancer Research UK’s charity shops.” Definitely check them out! - And some fabulous photos of the Ziegfeld Follies.
I hope your Monday is grrrreat!
