- Gabi at Young, Fat, & Fabulous posted a fabulous interview with Beth Ditto from Style.com. Totally worth watching!
- Wanna know what to get me for Christmas? These needle & spool of thread earrings might actually convince me to wear earrings on a regular basis! (I have, I think, three ear piercings on each side but have only been wearing earrings in the middle ones since I was 19…I don’t even know if the other piercings have healed up or not!)
- Two great DIYs: Lady Smaggle has a Vera Wang wrap shoes tutorial, & the girls at Monoxious have a cute little men’s shirt to women’s skirt tutorial.
- Handbag Heaven has another great giveaway going! You can enter to win copies of Winona’s book, Closet Confidential. Check it out!
- Having an identity crisis? Never fear, for Miss Destructo is here with tips on creating a press kit.
- Not only does Swagger 360 feature street style I actually want to look at, there was an excellent post last week on fashion vs. style vs. swagger.
- Jaka’s Tea Party is back online, and she started off the relaunch with a post about November fifth.
- Naomi at Ittybiz posted about the dark side of authenticity. Good read – this is what the endless posts that say “be AUTHENTIC and you will be successful! and everything will be rainbows & bunny farts!” leave out.
- Fashion Mythbusting: But I’m supposed to like it!
- Miss Led sounds like one hell of a kickass lady. Someone I’d like to know!
- Oh, also, I’m trying out jojoba oil and the oil cleansing method…I will let you know how it goes. At first I accidentally picked up juniper berry oil & I was horrified at the $18 price tag for a teensy bottle. I then remembered my year of fascination with essential oils and realized I had the wrong thing, which is good because who knows what would have happened when I rubbed than on my face! Anyways, I’ve only done it once so far but my face felt very clean afterwards & wasn’t super oily in the morning like it usually is. Expect a full post soon!
How was your weekend? I hope your week is getting off to a great start!
