So here’s what I wore to the UT Fashion Show last Thursday:
Ignore the cookie crumbs on my top. Note to self: no more snacking right before outfit photos.
Let’s break it down:
Top is Kenneth Cole Reaction via TJ Maxx, Fluevog Haight shoes, skirt from Buffalo Exchange, DIY fascinator, glasses from GlassesShop.com.
Close up of fascinator/glasses:
The green has already mostly turned to blue; it did something really weird with my roots where it went yellow-blonde after a few days. But I’ve already touched it up and it’s back to blue-green!
Before the show, Amanda and I went to Diya‘s place and met up with some other bloggers (group and show photos at link) – it was great! The fashion show itself was a little underwhelming, in my opinion – a lot of it was just a bit mainstream for me (ugh, and hipster feather headdresses made an appearance). But there was a steampunk inspired collection and a really cool collection inspired by science fiction heroines. There was a black top in that one that had this amazing huge hood (I’m thinking it was Jedi inspired. Mmm, Ewan McGregor…) that, when let down, turned into a draped cowl neck in the front and a draped, low cut back. I want one. I think Amanda giggled at me because after not showing much enthusiasm for anything else in the show, I squealed and leaned over and said “Ohmygod I want it!”.
Overall, I had a good time, though! Thanks, Diya, for having me!
And here’s an unrelated photo of a mirrory tower on a cloudy day:
