A World Changing Sale

Y’all probably know Pace and Kyeli in some form or another – I’ve linked to their blog, Connection Revolution (formerly Freak Revolution) several times, and they’re both absolutely awesome people. They’re both kind, and always come up with really smart things to say, and absolutely down-to-earth sincere. (Also, really funny!*)

Anyways! They’re doing a three day pay what you can sale on the World Changing Writing Workshop, ending tomorrow night at midnight. I’m not an affiliate, I don’t get a cut, but I thought I would point you towards it in case you hadn’t seen this already. I’m planning on buying my copy tomorrow morning, after a bit of a “duh” moment.

See, our finances have been really up and down ever since we moved down here, and when I first heard of the sale, I was like “Awesome! I can pay $X, which is not a totally ridiculously low price but is still within my price range.” And then I reviewed our finances and realized that $X was actually too much for me to spend right now. I gnashed my teeth and got really upset and decided I wouldn’t buy it, because Pace and Kyeli are my friends, and I don’t want them to think that I undervalue them or their work or anything they do.

And then I was perusing the blog of another person I’d actually seen in comments at the Connection Revolution, and saw this little gem (emphasis mine):

(Of course, me being me, I am completely torn about not being able to pay “enough” – but, as my brilliant sister pointed out: there are unlimited slots for this sale, so I am only adding to what they will make, not taking away from it.)

Oh. Uh. Yeah. Silly me! I guess I didn’t think of that angle.

So yes – go forth and write, my friends! Change the world! Have fun while you’re doing it!

(you can buy the World Changing Writing Workshop here, in case you missed the link earlier in the post.)
